If we think about the structure of the architecture archives at Het Nieuwe Instituut as a large knowledge container, it is not hard to understand that it will never contain everything there is to know on the history of the built environment. Consequently, the remaining empty spots in the archives are valuable and they could cradle something important that is yet to come. But at the same time these empty spaces are not the things that visitors of the archives will see or care about on a daily basis. With this project, I want to show these precious spaces to the public, giving them their moment of glory as they are constantly hidden in the dark.
