Why Málaga, like many cities, has branded itself to attract international tourists, corporations and investors. But at a price. Vacant buildings and an exodus of local residents are the reality behind the guidebook image that emphasiszes the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
How A city map showing buildings with preserved facades but nothing behind them serves as a metaphor for cultural impoverishment. Collectives present alternative strategies in a video, and an online platform translates their knowledge so that citizens can connect with it, empowering them to share their own information.
